Adventures, Types of Threads, and Arcs Empty Adventures, Types of Threads, and Arcs

In our roleplay, there are several types of roleplay threads. When you start a thread, label the thread's "type" in []s. An example would be:

Newest Designs [Free].

You understand? Now, let's talk about the type of threads.

a) Adventures

One Piece is an adventure manga, so it's pretty obvious what this type of thread is. Basically, you go on an adventure; whether it's salvaging a ship, or simply finding a new crew member. Basically, you should have some sort of goal when you go on an adventure, though your goals can completely change. For example, during the Baratie Arc, Luffy, at first, just wants Sanji to be his Chef, but he soon changes goals to protect the Baratie. Unlike the other types of threads, admins and mods walk you through adventures, and control a good amount of NPCs and enemies.

1a) Arcs

"Arcs" consist of a number of interconnecting adventures. Basically, what that means is that those adventures are all part of a larger story, and a much larger "adventure", so to speak. You can take a break between arcs to do other adventures, of course, just don't forget about the arc. Basically, if a crew starts an "Arc", we'll notify them and tell them three things;

The name of the "Arc".
The amount of adventures involved.
The islands for the next adventures to take place.

You can, of course, decide not to fulfill an arc. Of course, the same arc can't be done twice, by the same crew or not. Certain declined arcs, however, can be taken by other crews.

2a) Story Adventures

All adventures adventures have some sort of story involved within them, of course, but these adventures directly involve stories that were in the original One Piece manga. With these, there is, of course, Adventure Arcs.

b) Free

"Free" threads are threads in which you generally just do normal, everyday things and errands that need to get done; you can work on your skills, buy things, etc. It can also be used for in-roleplay character development. So, why don't you become best friends with your sniper? Learn a few things from your swordsman, or develop a new romance with that hot new librarian. "Free" threads can be combined with "Travel" threads, if you would like to, doing certain "Free Thread"

c) Travel

Travel threads are about travel; basically, you use your ship to travel to and from certain areas. Traveling between islands in the same "sea" takes no time at in real life at all, with the exception of the Grand Line. You can set your own game time for how long it took for you to travel between islands. For example, in the East Blue, if you travel between Syrup Village and Fuschia Village, it takes no time in real life to travel. Traveling between "seas" takes one day in real life, and that includes traveling to the Grand Line, which means in game time, it'll take 3-5 days. Meaning, if you want to travel from the East to West blue, it'll take one day in real time. The time it takes between islands in the Grand Line is determined by an Admin.
